Summary: This book is one of the best i've read so far!
Comment: This book is hot.My favorite is A lady's Pleasure by Robin Schone. Although the story is purely concentrated on the sex scenes, I feel that the characters really care for each other and there's a feeling of romanticism in the story. I also liked Ecstacy be Bertrice Small, it's very sensual. The other 2 stories-Bound and Determined and Dark Desires - were so boring and senseless i didn't even bother to finish them.

Summary: one out of four isn't that great!
Comment: I knew what I was getting into when I read this collection of stories--and what I was getting into was not the usual romance tale! I have to say that having read other reviews of "Captivated", I'm in agreement with most of the other reviewers. "A Lady's Pleasure" by Robin Schone is far and away the best of these novellas--the motivations behind the two main characters were very well explained, and a reader would care what happened to Abigail and Robert. As for the other novellas in this collection, they ranged from the ridiculous to the loathesome, to the just plain "who cares". In the "ridiculous" category, I put the Bertrice Small story--at one point, I thought that if I read the term "love juices" one more time, I would upchuck the last meal I had eaten! Just plain old bad writing, and I didn't care what happened to anyone in that story. As for "loathesome", the Thea Devine story, which features two characters whose main ambitions seem to be to see how much each could hurt the other, is not my idea of a fun read! Susan Johnson's novella was just "blah"--I've read a couple of her novels and I know she's written better stuff than this. Read "A Lady's Pleasure"--skip everything else!

Summary: Fantasy Land turns boring real fast
Comment: Ms. Small's story was pure fantasy; not boring in the least, but wicked in a harmless way, I guess. It puts 'normal' love scenes to shame.
Ms. Johnson's story was good, as expected. There WAS a plot, after all.
Ms. Devine's story was AWFUL! This guy Courtland was just about the meanest character ever made, and he was the hero! He rarely said anything civil to Drue, he just growled. The way he looked at her, as if he couldn't stand the sight of her, did not sit well with me.
Ms. Schone's story was okay; predictable and cute. At least this guy was a real man.
