Summary: Mysterious, beautiful film... equally beautiful script!
Comment: The age-old battle of man vs. nature is the central theme of this provocative little script. Meneer Chrome, a designer of intricate, flower-less gardens for affluent families arrives at the home of Thomas Smithers, where he is to begin design and work on a garden as a testament to Smithers' life.

At the Smithers estate, Meneer meets Smithers' wife, Liliana, and their only daughter, Anne. Anne, a strange but exotic young lady draws Meneer's attention from the moment he sets eyes on her. Her parents tell Meneer that Anne has too much imagination and they're hoping that the garden he is to build will help her regain her health. The garden is to be cut out of the thick wooded area that surrounds the Smithers estate; Meneer finds out too late that this forest is the only place where Anne can find true peace and joy. But despite his misgivings, Meneer begins work on the garden. There's someone else that stands to benefit from this garden. Meneer must make it as grand and expensive as possible... the employer's motives are his alone and Meneer knows not what he intends to do once the garden is complete, but what will happen when Meneer begins to reconsider what he's doing to the Smithers family?

The characters are passionate, unique and flawed ever so delicately by their human natures, but not so as to make it impossible for the reader to be sympathetic with them. If anything, the characters' failings make them all the more colorful and interesting. The story is original, subtle and provocative. Read the script and watch the film! It's an absolute must for lovers of art-house or independent films!
