Summary: Very little about war
Comment: If you have read Fullerton's "The Blooding of the Guns" or "Sixty Minutes for St. George" and were looking for more of the same do NOT buy this book. It is not so much that this book is poorly, it's that there is almost no wartime action. Most of the book is about the relationships the main character and those around him have. This book has even less to do with war than "Love for an Enemy" which is maybe one-third war and two-thirds action. "Not Thinking About Death" is about 10% action and 90% relationships. For more war action try John J. Gobbell.

Comment: To follow the author's writing you best have a complete understanding of British abuse of the English langauge and have served abroad submarines. Otherwise this book is at time not completely understood.
