Summary: Big Mistake for Squaresoft
Comment: In the past dan birlew and brady games have done an excellent job on strategy guides for squaresoft. FF9, however, was a departure from their typical strategy guides. I paid "good money" for this guide at a bookstore, and it had none of the info(with some exceptions) which I was looking for. Every other sentence in this guide is,"...for more info check out Playonline.com". aarrgghh! I paid money to get this in print, not to spend an entire day off printing everything off this site. Nothing is more frustrating then trying to enjoy a game, but then having to spend time on the internet to find something that you could have looked up in 2 minutes. Birlew did a good job,mind you, but this whole "PlayOnline.com" thing was Square's attempt to break into a new market and to prepare gamers for FF11 and frankly it's not worth "whatI paid."

Comment: I would take 2 points of of this strategy guide because u have 2 get on the internet to look for secrets of the game instead of them just putting them in the guide. They say it enhances the strategy guide but it makes the game more complicated. The bestiary also is bad because u have 2 get in the internet to find out everything about the enemy and the EXP amounts are wrong. In the secrets section u have to even look on the internet to find more about that secret! Besides those things this is a great guide, it tells most of the secrets and the strategy is great and it has good boss strategies but, u have to get on the internet to find out more about the boss. This is still a good guide and u should definitely get this, it's worth the hassle of getting on the internet because if u really want 2 beat the game u need to get this, this is a very hard game and u need 2 get the strategy guide to beat it.

Comment: This is a great strategy giude. I have all the Final Fantasy games and guides and this is one of the best. It has great maps, info on bosses and enemis, and a good overall walkthrough. I strongly recommend this guide.
