Summary: Star Trek Voyager Homecoming review
Comment: Although I have mixed feelings regarding this author's writing I attempted to read this book since I was a big fan of the television show, Star Trek Voyager. Quite frankly, this was a big disappointment for me. There are too many continuity errors from the television series to the book. I found that certain situations were glossed over too quickly without explanation, and other pertinent details about characters had been changed. It's almost as if the author didn't watch the show and wasn't aware of how the characters had changed and evolved on the show.
In addition, writing style is too much in the typical "romance novel" style for my liking.
Finally, zero points for plot originality. The Borg were used extensively in the television show, indeed many fans claimed overuse. And the holographic rights plots were done to death in the final season. Overall, I would have liked to have seen some originality in a relaunch novel.
I really don't feel this book does the characters justice.

Summary: The journey continues for the crew of Voyager!
Comment: This book did a good job in continuing from the last episode of Voyager, and is also available in book form, with the same title as the TV program "Endgame."
I really enjoyed "Homecoming", and I especially liked the various strands that Christie Golden teased out of the book that were already part of the TV series, such as Seven of Nine's relationship blossoming relationship with Chakotay, B'Elanna Torres search for her mother, Naomi Wildman's first meeting with her father and a host of other Voyager to earth experiences.
Among all of this though is an earth in flux, the Borg is a constant threat on the horizon and the war with the Dominion has seriously weakened the Federation.
Janeway and her crew have come not to adulation and joy (other than to their families and friends) but a time of suspicion and change.
And now there is a plague being unleashed upon earth and it is of Borg origin. Seven of Nine and Icheb are being blamed and Janeway once again has to fight for the lives of those she holds dear to her heart...
Homecoming has a sequel called "The Farther Shore" and it definitely needs reading to complete this mini-trilogy that started with "Endgame."
Good Trekkie fun that doesn't leave you disappointed.
