Comment: As with all Judy's book. BRING IT OVER WHEN FRIENDS GET TOGETHER. Take turns reading bits to each other. I bought several copies to give to friends with a good sense of humor.
Judy Brown has attempted a monumental task - to anthologize American stand up comedy and in the process attempt to capture its incredible range of subjects and cocky, very American flavor. What consistently amazes me is how she manages to capture on the page the attitude and individual voice of the comedians.The quality of the material is as high if not higher than her previous two volumes (Joke Soup and Joke Stew). If anything, her selective eye is even more assured.
More laughs on anyone page than in many other entire volumes.
