Summary: Don't buy anything when the moon is VOID
Comment: THIS IS A GREAT BOOK. It comes out every year. I get it every year (usually 3 copies - 1 for my kitchen, 1 for my bedroom and 1 for my car). I keep one anywhere I may need to take a quick peek before calling to start something new, going out to buy something - anything, signing up for a class, hiring a new lawn service, etc.
Though it has tons of info in it - I use it mainly for two very important reasons - 1) Knowing when the moon is Void-of-Course ("VOID")- this happens usually every couple or few days for some hours or maybe for a good part of a day; and 2) Knowing when Mercury is retrograde.
Never purchase anything when the Moon is Void. You'll never use it. No matter how much you want it when you buy it and how great you think it is - even if you are replacing one you already have that you love - it will just sit - be it clothing, electronics, books, etc. If you do use it, it will be for 1/10th the amount of time you thought you would use for it when you purchased it. Or it may just sit. You may just decide to return it. And if you make appointments (Dr. appts, social appts, etc) - they will end up being changed or cancelled altogether - either by you or the other party - more often than not - or nothing will come of them if they are kept.
Never purchase anything mechanical or electrical when Mercury is Retrograde. It will probably break, need to be replaced, etc. They talk about all of this and more in the book. You don't have to understand anything about astrology to use this book in a very usefull way in your life on a daily basis. The price is a bargin if you use it.

Summary: a bundle of value for predictive astrologers
Comment: This is a compact astrological datebook, an annual, and I use it for all my prediction work. It has much information in it. What I use are the retrograde and direct station times, the daily aspectarian which I especially like because it includes asteroid and Chiron aspects along with the usual aspects between the major planets, and the ephemeris. I find the ephemeris particularly useful because it shows the asteroids and Chiron, as well as the planets, spread out across the page, and gives the daily positions of all of them.
The Guide also includes eclipses, time zones, sunrise and sunset times, planetary hours, summaries of planets, signs, houses, and aspects, and weekly forecasts by Kim Rogers-Gallagher, an experienced astrologer who writes engagingly. This book is a bundle of value.
Llwellyn also publishes a beautiful calendar which contains much of the same information as the Guide.
