Summary: Slatter best surgery book
Comment: This is definately the best small animal surgery book on the market. I have used it as a new grad and even now as a more "experienced" practicioner. Very good for soft tissue and orthopedic topics, with concise but thorough explanations of how/which surgical option is best for each type of condition (fracture type, etc) I'm buying a set as a gift for a new grad!

Comment: Don't waste your money somewhere else!, having this book gives you 95% of what you need in practice.
How many books you buy and never read?, this is one of the very few books that YOU read at least once a week. It's just EXCELLENT.
