Title: Life Before Birth: The Challenges of Fetal Development by Graham Mont Sir Liggins, Paula Disanto Bensadoun, Peter W. Nathanielsz ISBN: 0716730251 Publisher: W H Freeman & Co. Pub. Date: May, 1996 Format: Paperback Volumes: 1 List Price(USD): $13.95 |
Average Customer Rating: 4.5
Rating: 4
Summary: OK, but repetitive
Comment: This book provides a readable, and reasonably good, overview of fetal development, with a scientific perspective. The downside is that I found the second half to be quite repetitive, and the author harps on, pushing his research agenda.
Rating: 5
Summary: Provides wonderful insights into human development
Comment: Nathanielsz presents information regarding our understanding of fetal development in a way we all can relate to. I recommend this book, as well as his latest title (Life in the Womb), to all those interested in what happens during the first nine months of life.
