Summary: Excellent fantasy and zodiac designs for cross stitch.
Comment: The designs in "Julie Hasler's Fantasy Cross Stitch" are rich and textured looking, without using difficult stitches, blended threads, or backstitch. Indeed, Hasler keeps backstitch to a minimum, using darker stitches for outlines and detail. The zodiac signs are particularly appealing. The Pegasus and Unicorn designs are also lovely. The use of darker stitches instead of backstitching gives the feeling of painting to these designs (rather than pen and ink!) I would highly recommend this book, both for the ease of stitching and for the unusual designs.

Summary: Absolutely inspiring!!
Comment: Julie's refreshing book on zodiacs, has turned my into 'n cross stitch frantic. No more "cutie" designs for me. Since I am still a novice at this new found hobby, simply looking at her charts inspired me to try something more complicated. I have already completed the Scorpio, Cancer, the Sea Dragon and the Purple Crowned Dragon. I want to make them all. Thank you Julie for such inspiring work. All my friends now think I am this astrology freak. How about a second edition featuring more wizards and figures alike?

Summary: Waste of $$$$
Comment: The only good charts in this book are the zodic signs and the norse Gods the rest of the charts have no detail to them :( I really wasted my money buying this book. If you want good detailed fantasy patterns this is not the book for you instead try Teresa Wentzler's Fantasy Collection , alot better than this bit of fluff.
