Summary: Excellent summary of the Conceptual Art movement
Comment: This is a very good introductory book to Conceptualism. The book is very cleanly designed with lots of images and is extremely readable without sounding dumbed down. What I particularly liked was the way that Godfrey blended history with simple explanations of the works gently suggesting interpretations but not forcing them down the reader's throats.

Summary: one of the best art movement books i've read
Comment: For an overview this book is excellent. Most art historical books cram too much into a limited space and you walk away feeling you've learned very little. This book successfully covers a lot of ground without overwhelming you. I would highly suggest this book for anyone interested in conceptual art at any level

Summary: Best book ever!
Comment: This book is a superb introduction to not just Conceptual Art, but the way of thinking and looking at Art in general. It provides the reader with background information and contextualizes the artworks and the artists included. Covers the timeline from Dada to the recent yBa (Young British Artists) and describes the evolution of Art in this century. It was easy to read and understand. An inspiration!
