Summary: I don't know where to begin!
Comment: I notice that some readers aren't giving this book very glowing reviews, but I hope people aren't swayed by a little bad press. I adored this book. I am 22, and I enjoyed every word of this "kids" book. The main character is so warm and the descriptions illustrate him beautifully. Time Stops for no Mouse tells the adventure of a little watchmaking mouse with some colorful friends and an aviatrix hearthrob. The aviatrix does not pick up her watch, which she left with Hermux to repair, and when he tries to contact her, he discovers that she has been kidnapped. Boldly, he sets off the rescue her. This book could easily be read aloud, and the short chapters make for good places to stop until the next night. The pace is fast and action-packed. I read this book in one evening, and was so delighted I bought the sequel the next day (which is also wonderful). This book fills the void after Harry Potter, and I think I look forward to another Hermux Tantamoq Adventure more. Read this book, you will not be sorry.

Summary: WONDERFUL AND CAPTIVATING STORY!!!!
Comment: I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! You will too if you love adventure, excitement, love, mystery, surprise, suspense...etc. etc. etc..... this could go on forever! I am in 8th grade and although it was an easy read, I loved this book from page 1.

It is the story of a young watchmaker mouse, Hermux Tantamoq. He lives an ordinary everyday life until an adventuress, Linka Perflinger, comes in with a smashed watch claiming that the watch must tell perfect time otherwise one second could mean life or death. Hermux sets to work right away and finishes by the deadline but when the deadline comes Linka doesn't come, but a shady looking rat, that demands the watch but does not have a claim ticket. Hermux then becomes suspicious and worried and follows the rat into a twisting adventure which he must get out of. This book makes a WONDERFUL gift!

Summary: Lovable Characters + Lighthearted Mystery = Great Book!
Comment: Time Stops for No Mouse is an exciting story that shows that a person's (or mouse's) life can be changed entirely in minutes. Hermux Tantamoq is a typical mouse living a typical life. He lives alone with his pet ladybug, Terfle, and spends his time repairing watches. Things change a little when he falls in love at first sight with the beautiful, daring aviatrix Linka Perflinger who comes to him to repair her watch. He realizes something is wrong when she doesn't come back for it -- and a mysterious rat comes instead -- and he sets off on a journey to rescue her. Along the way, he proves that little people (or mice -- the symbolism is probably why the author made Hermux a mouse) can do big things, and that the most routine lives can become heroic adventures.
Hermux trails the rat who tried to claim Linka's watch to Linka's house, and sees things that lead him to believe she is being held prisoner in her own house! With the help of his new friend Pup Schoonagliffen, he becomes involved in the same mystery which involvement in endangered Linka. It is a mystery of jungle expeditions, health resorts, distasteful interior decorating, spies in disguises, murders, and the search for eternal youth, and it is a mystery that investigating -- and eventually solving -- will change Hermux's life forever.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a fast-paced mystery with surprising twists and turns, and you really got to care about the main characters. It got a bit confusing at times because there were so many different people after the formula for eternal youth, but for the most part it was fun to read. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light-hearted but exciting mystery story.
