Summary: A must have for those interested in this debate
Comment: Never have I seen an arguement totally torn apart and buried as was done in this literature. The material presented in this book is vital ammunition for people who debate on the subject of race and intelligence.

The Bell Curve arguement was completely refuted after the second chapter!!! But Inequality By Design was very very fair, in how it attacked the arguement. Chapter by chapter the validity of the bell curve arguement shrunk more and more. Every issue was addressed and the authors provided complete and easy to understand examples of relevant phenomenon.

The only way I could see you NOT liking this book is if you are some kind of elitist trapped in the confines of the popular Euro-centric worldview of white superiority.

This book is definately worth your money...

Summary: Egalitarian Fantasy
Comment: This book certainly doesn't live up to its title, and is propelled mostly by the author's egalitarian fantasies, rather than the objective science presented in the Bell Curve.

Rating: 4
Summary: Easy-to-read, yet academic, critique of The Bell Curve
Comment: The numerous authors of this tome do a fine job in their criticism of Herrnstein and Murray. They discuss where those authors were correct, where they twisted stastics to meet their own goals, where they made false assumptions and where they committed bad science. This book doesn't get much into the genetic end of things, but rather discusses other causes of inequality and the flaws in the research of The Bell Curve. Recommended for anyone who wants a serious, scholarly, critique of pop science.
