Summary: Amazing
Comment: I was browsing through the bookstore a few years ago, looking for something to do between classes, when I came across this book. It was one of the most touching stories that I've read.
The story is about a girl who aspires to dance and the father who watchs over her. Without giving the story away, I'll just say that if really effected me -- a college boy who knows little of dancing, let alone fatherhood. It is very well written, and when it's coupled with the beautiful oil painting illustrations, the book is deeply moving.
I'd recommend this to anyone, be it dancer, father, or otherwise. This is a story of love that transcends such things.

Summary: Touching!
Comment: I heard the author read his book at a literacy event sponsored by Barbara Bush that was aired on CNN. I found it so gripping! I thought the story was just lovely. It is likely more touching and poignant to adults than to children but shows children the enduring love of a parent. When the father 'smiles' at seeing his daughter dance, it reveals his heart. I have never seen the text or companion pictures but loved hearing it audibly.

Comment: I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to any father/daughter with a "special" relationship.
I passed it to a friend who's daughter is graduating soon and who herself is a dancer.....both of them enjoyed the book and cried with me over its beauty.
Highly recommend this for sharing with a loved one.
