Comment: What a shame that books like this one would go out of print. This is a fine book, one of the best short story collections I've read. Too bad Tim O'Brien's comment "a jewel that will be shining for years to come" has to be thwarted due to the fact that the book is out of print. How could Studs Terkel, Jack Matthews, Shelby Hearon and Tim O'Brien all be wrong? They are all quoted on the back as loving this book. My favorite stories in the collection are "Smoker", "Local Anaesthetic", "Close Dancing ",and "Berzerk". If you can get a copy of this book, it is worth the effort. Hope to hear more from this talented writer in the future.
