Summary: Franchesco's Crash Review
Comment: The main characters are Mike, Crash, Penn, and Scooter, but Crash is the most important character in the story. He is a very good football player. He thinks he is cool and is popular. He met Penn in first grade. Penn is from North Dakota. He is very dorky. Crash is mean to Penn and when Mike moves in during sixth grade, he joins Crash and they pick on Penn together. They took his buttons away and they put mustard in his shoes. Then Scooter moves in when Crash is in 7th grade. Scooter is his grandfather. Crash is very excited because he is staying for good and they spend a lot of time together. Something happens to Scooter and he ends up in the hospital. This is when Crash begins to change. You will never guess who become friends!

I like how Jerry Spinelli wrote because he wrote how we talk. I liked to read the book almost every day. You should read the book because it is interesting and funny!

Summary: Crash is THE BEST book I have ever read in my entire life
Comment: I am a fifth grade student at Waldron Mercy Acadamy.(TMD). The book I read was called Crash by Jerry Spinelli. What a wonderful book! Even when I had just started reading it I knew that Crash was going to be one great book. The name of the main character in story is "Crash" Cogan. Crash isn't his real name, thats just the name he got from something that happened when he was little. How he got his name shall be revealed in the story. He lives with his mom, his dad, and a little sister named Abby. In the book someone else moves in. He is in seventh grade. Crash is probably the most popular kid in his grade, and maybe even in his school, and the best football player in the grade, maybe even in his school. In the beginning of the book, he starts in the first grade just to show you how he met a kid named Penn Webb who was new around the neighborhood. He hated Webb. When he was little, this was how he described Webb: A dweeby, vegetable eating neighbor. It turns out that Webb goes to the same school as Crash. Unlike Crash, Webb thinks that the two of them are good friends. There not. Later, while Crash is trying out for football, he sees Webb trying out for someone else. Not for long though. During the summer before seventh grade, another kid moves in. Mike Deluca. Oh boy. Heres when the fun begins. There is one thing they both have in common. They absolutely love to torture Webb. Although, one day, Mike takes a prank to far. Way to far. After that, Crash has to make a desision that will not be good for him either way. I recomend this book for any fourth to eighth grader. This is definitly the best book I have EVER read.

Summary: Funny Fiction
Comment: Crash is an exellent, funny, and cool book for any age. It is about a loser who moved into town in first grade. His name is Penn Webb. He has been made fun of ever since, and he did not really know it. Crash Coogan (a football player at his school) and his best friend Mike make fun of him and made his life miserable. Webb, Crash's dweeby, vegetable eating neighbor who lives in a garage is their favorite target for years. Although Webb is not just a big nerd, at school he is on the cheerleading team!
I think anyone who reads this book will have fun reading it. I gave this book five stars because of its details, creativity, and humor. Jerry Spinelli is a great author. He also has written another funny book called Loser.
