Summary: My little girl loves it!
Comment: My six year old daughter loves animals, especially wild ones. She has been fascinated with Alaska and with wolves for some time now, although (or perhaps because) we live in a large city. She wasn't initially attracted to this book because it isn't very beautiful, but she was captivated by the accounts of real wolves in their natural surroundings. There are many books that relate the nasty side of wolves, and there are some that attempt to undo the damage of the myths of fear; but to read about how wolves really live (and to acknowledge their mystery) is the best for my young wildlife lover.
