Summary: A very honest man!
Comment: Said is a very honest man, a very honest christian at that. For a christian to speak out against the media about one of it's most inaccurate views of life (The Muslims)he has to be a very dedicated and God loving person. There are 1.7 billion muslims in the world today, and not all of them are rotten apples as the media portrays them to be. As we know, in any culture, race, or gender, majority suffers for minority and thats how it is.

Summary: Unmitigated Propaganda
Comment: As propaganda, this is a brilliant work, evidence being the number of adherents that buy its thesis. Said neglects to mention the ongoing conflicts in Sudan, Nigeria and Indonesia where Christians are politically, physically and criminally assaulted do solely to their faith by Muslims. He fails to mention that Jordan has considered and rejected a ban on "honor killings" of women. Said's entire career is intended to shield Islamic "culture" from the acknowledgment of its abject failure. Twenty per cent of the world's population and 50% of the world's illiterates. Islamic countries suffer terrible brain drain for a reason. Said lived in the United States didn't he didn't choose to live in any Islamic country, did he?

Summary: a non muslim defending islam
Comment: Just for the readers who don't know, Dr Edward said is not Muslim, he is Christian
So for a Christian guy like Mr. said to defend Islam, and show the truth, about Islam,
Makes me happy and a proud, that I am Palestinian like him. If he was Muslim I probably wouldn't have admired him as much. The fact that he is a Christian defending some he has no gain from, makes him greater.
