Summary: Great research on a fascinating topic
Comment: John Waller has given a wonderful expose of espionage and underground movements in Europe during World War II. His research on the anti-Hitler groups in Germany is particularly revealing and shows that not all Germans were with Hitler; indeed, many high level German military officers like Canaris were actively plotting against him. Waller spins this web of intrigue extremely well and makes the action come alive. His intelligence experience gives him an excellent insight into such activities which shows in his writing. This is a great read for WWII as well as spy story buffs! John, you must write more on the "Great Game."

Summary: A flat out amazing book.....
Comment: This book tells stories that are as fun to read as a James Bond movie is to watch.... and apparently, no one realized this. Setting aside that it is a book of serious history, it tells the stories of the OSS and the NVKD and MI-6 and the German Abwehr. It tells of the decptions of Canaris... which are a key to understanding the whole of the progress of the war.
First, I can't believe that this book is so soon out of print. Second, if you are interested in WWII and haven't read this title, you must go out and get it!
