Summary: Was it the zombie or just the man with the gun?
Comment: For those of us who have remained stalwart and fierce fans of the Resident Evil saga in gaming (despite the Survivor fiasco), these books are indeed a welcome additive. S.D. Perry remains a wonderful writer who does complete justice to the series, and gives us insights into our favorite heroes' (and villains') minds. When most games are made into books (or even movies--hint, hint), they tend to get over commercialized and lose a lot of their appeal.....or even worse, stray so much from the original storyline that it becomes barely recognizable as the game we know and love. But thankfully, this is not the case. And let me just say--this is not a "guy thing". That's because I'm a girl (obviously :P) and I still remain enraptured by the entire series (or maybe it's just Wekser...nah, gotta be the series). This book is definitely one of my favorites in the horror genre. It's too bad I couldn't say the same about the movie........

Summary: S.D. Perry does it again!
Comment: Those of you who have read my previous reviews will know that I am a hardcore fan of the Resident Evil series. In addition to this,there isn't one book that S.D.Perry has written that I have not enjoyed. With that said, here's my take on this recent installment.
Once again, I must congradulate Perry for breathing life into these characters. She continues to stay true to the videogame series while at the same time revealing certain aspects of the characters (Claire, Steve, Chris) that helps us to identify and even sympathise with their struggles. The mythology surrounding the evil Ashford twins, Alfred and Alexia, is finally fleshed out in this novel, filling in the gaps left by the videogame.
When I first encountered these evil characters, I felt disappointed, believing their introduction in the game was ridiculous and farfetched. However, S.D.Perry helps readers to understand their origions, and she brings credibility to their role in this story, as well as the reappearance of Albert Weskers.
Finally, the story has a happy yet sad ending that leaves readers to question the possible future of the surviving characters: Will they ever bring down Umbrella? Will their life on the run ever end? Where will the series go from here? These are questions I have often pondered after reading each novel. I have no idea how the game and the novels alike will bring a close to Umbrella's evil legacy, but whatever happens, I look forward to the next novel and videogame; I'm sure other fellow RE fans will too.

Summary: The best Scenice Fiction Novel I ever Read!
Comment: The only Resident Evil game I played was Two, but after I read
this, I knew what the game was about, I had also read Underworld
(4) and Nemisis (5) and I like to say I'm a true fan of this
seris.
In this one Claire is caught by Unbrella and brought to a far-
away island called Rockford and meet's a prosoner called Steve
Burnside who's kind of a bigger verison of Shreey Birkin.
But this a great book and what I heard it doesn't quiet fallow
the game but who care's? It's pretty damn close.
