Summary: My baby eats better than I do!
Comment: My 7 1/2 month old has liked every dish I have made for her from this book. Not too fussed initially on the lentils but has got used to it now. I love the fact that I can make her interesting, nutritious and healthy food. Every time I make up a recipe my husband and I taste it and it really tastes good. Our freezer is full of little cubes of food now. Her teachers at daycare always comment on how nice her food smells and they are always trying to guess what the latest dish is. Dishes are naturally sweetened, for example adding grapes to a chicken and zucchini dish. Scrumptious! The dishes are quick and easy which is a plus for a mother with a full-time job, and they use ingredients easily found in any grocery-store. A favorite is banana with avocado and yoghurt. So quick and easy to prepare and it is finished in no time flat. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Summary: Don't Pass This BY
Comment: I have really enjoyed this book. I wasn't even planning on "making" my own baby food. At the time I bought it, I had a toddler, and was just looking for ideas for sandwhiches and creative snacks and things. My friend had the book and it looked interesting so I bought it. Now I have a new baby and just for fun I tried a few recipes. Now I am hooked. My baby has liked every meal I have prepared, even recipes with liver! Also, the cookbook has delicious meals that have now become family favorites. Toward the end of the book, there are recipes under the"Toddler" section, but they are really adult recipes and they are absolutely delicious. (sometimes you must double recipes...& check the serving size). One thing to note, is that because she is from Europe,the standards on what foods to introduce when is different. Use your doctor's advice and your common sense, when choosing recipes. Sometimes she recommends serving your baby a food earlier than we do here in the states. But after taking that into consideration, enjoy! And delight your baby and family. She is a real chef and takes really takes the mystery out of making baby food. ALSO, if you enjoy making them, get a hand blender, I have one made by Braun, and it makes puree making a snap! and so much easier to clean than trasferring your pot of whatever to a blender of food processer.

Summary: A terrific book
Comment: I wanted to prepare healthy meals using mostly organic ingredients for my baby once she moved beyond pureed food. From the onset, I was stuck. This book saved me. The recipes are easy, the food combinations delicious, and most of all, my 10-month old has loved every meal I have made so far. They are so basic, healthy and really tasty. I do ignore some reccomendations (introducing liver, for one) and stick to foods that I feel she is ready for. Another great feature is that the book offers guidance on freezing techniques, reheating and food preperation, which is very helpful.
