Comment: You know, once a person, a solidly established business person told me to my face. "You'll NEVER succeed in business." Why? because I am too honest!
It's been a tough road, a less traveled road perhaps. But I wouldn't trade my life experiences for anything! I think that's what Les is talking about in this book. More, his message seems to be about making a contribution-- make a contribution instead of all of the other things "else" you could do.
In the end, really, we are what we give. Les Brown has it, right on target. You can't give from an empty basket.

One quote that I especially liked from the book, "You have to have faith that you are part of the plan, and that life will hyield to you if you are persistent and courageous."
