Summary: Whats everyones deal?
Comment: Reading through the reviews made me pause for a minute, and get the shock out of my head? Such bad reviews! I must say that it IS the worst one of the series. But give them the benefit of the doubt. Its a pretty action based book, with nice characters, quotes from the campaign, and much more. Characters you recognize jump in and out of the story, such as General Duke, The Queen of Blades, Xerana, and of course that b*st*rd :) Arcturus Mengsk. Its a compelling story with great mystery's. Though the ending kind of made me sad, for it did not fit with StarCraft AT ALL. Roverlisks? Giant phoenix thing? What the hell? I must say the husband wife duo obviousely were not very big starcraft fans. Aparently X-File fans and probably got most of their stuff from KJA's former X-files books. Over all it wasn't that bad. I give it three stars. Libery's Crusade a nice 4 stars and of course Speed of Darkness 5 ( 10 if possible ) stars. :)

Summary: Dont be fooled by the Starcraft title.
Comment: I might say i really am disappointed with this one. Being a Starcraft and a Star Wars fan i jumped to this book and now, after reading it, i feel completely stupid for buying that one only for its Starcraft title. Gabriel Mesta is a pseudonym for Kevin J Anderson (which is a good Star Wars writer) and his wife. I thought that KJA could deliver a good bok. But when you read it you could think that, the couple had some financial problems and they just took this book project involuntarily. I think they were looking at it as a cash box. There are fifty or so chapters in the book, which makes it feel like they wrote them before breakfast and continued their life.
Here is a probable dialogue between the couple:
- hey Kev did you write the 46th chapter,
+ nah. Could you write it?
- no, i dont wanna...
+ but we have to.
So finally the scenery is bad, characters are shallow, dialogues are lame. Dont follow my steps and do not get fooled by the title Starcraft, because it really isnt a Starcraft book. It just has some familiar names and some familiar equipment.
One word review: Boring.
