Comment: This book was fantastic! I was immediately enthralled the second I picked it up. If you're a fan of the Resident Evil games, you'll definitely like "Caliban Cove". It doesn't follow any particular storyline of the games, but the references and familiar characters from the games are very enjoyable. It's also very suspenseful. You won't be able to put it down until you finish it! Even if you've never played Resident Evil, but you like sci-fi horror/action, you should check this one out. If you don't...then you should probably skip it. That's my two cents.

Summary: Good original story with the feel of the game.
Comment: I was a little disapointed with S.D. Perry's first Resident Evil book, "The Umbrella Conspiracy", so I was somewhat apprehensive about her follow up. However, "Caliban Cove" is a much stronger story, however much it deviates from the game series.
In "Caliban Cove", Perry has focused on one of the background cast from the first game, the rookie field medic Rebecca Chambers, and has fleshed her out very nicly.
In keeping with the series that these books are based on, "Caliban Cove" has more of the same from the first book- Mad scientists, evil corporate cover ups, zombies and other monsters. While the pace of the plot seems overly calm, the envoirnments seem vivad and convincing. This story sounds like the kind of place a video gamer would like to spend some time.
Overall, Perry seems to have learnt much since her first Resident Evil book, and I'm looking forward to her next venture into the world of survival horror!

Comment: Death,destruction,mayhem are many of teh events that occur in my book,"Reident Evil:Caliban Cove." I thoroughly enjoyed reading S.D. Perry's novel,its 242 pages were very suspenseful, and action filled."Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" takes place in Maryland on a shore-sided chemical facility that has been involved in many chemical related accidents and the S.T.A.R.S. (special tactics and rescue team) is sent in to investigate these accidents.Rebecca,Steve,David,Karen,Barry make up the S.T.A.R.S. team and Dr.Griffith,trisquads, are the chemical facilities main characters.The S.T.A.R.S. discover that Umbrella (teh chemical company) is using a virus, of some genetic means,to make bio-weapons of destruction.While investigating the S.T.A.R.S. encounter many of Umbrella's bio-weapons and they discover that the T-virus is what is producing these grotesque monsters.The T-virus however infects on of the S.T.A.R.S. members and the uninfected members of S.T.A.R.S. try to find a cure for the T-virus,while trying to stay alive and they uncover a hideous plot within the Umbrella company's employee, Dr.Griffith.1 "golden line" in "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" is when Barry says,"These monsters are the creation of a mad man that is just is just as hyness as his bio-weapons."The cover of "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" portrays Rebecca of the S.T.A.R.S. running while shooting at one of the the bio-weapons created by the T-virus.The title means that evil is a resident in Caliban Cove.I would reccomend this book to anyone who has played the video game in which this novel is based upon, anyone who enjoys the game will enjoy this book. If you are new person to the Resident Evil series you might find this novel hard to get, but it has a great plot and it is just what a person looking for a suspenseful horror novel, you will find that "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" will satisfy any horror novel fan or Resident Evil fan.
