Summary: My good'ol review
Comment: First off, this was a good book. Dont think that it will (be bad) from the movie. This follows the Playstation version quite well. S.D. Perry did a good job writing this. My applause to her. This book did very well with detail. Very nice with giving the story a twist in the beginning before the characters entered the mansion. In some spots it seemed that it was alittle slow with talking. But it still held it very well and kept flowing. It also adds a new perspective to how the characters felt in the ordeal that you could not tell from the video game. This book also gave very good detail to how the mansion layout was. It made it very easy in some parts to envision the building. There was also great detail to how the zombies and other evil geneticly altered creatures were detailed. Good description to how they died. :-) (Not a book I would let a 8-year old read). Also in the end it made the battle between Tyrant and the other S.T.A.R.S. members almost an exact from the game. When they were on the helipad it was described how they fought the giant mutant. I was able to envision how they were set on the helipad and how they were facing and fighting the monster. Good detail to how it was finaly put to rest when Brad Vickers in the circling chopper overhead droped the rocket launcher to Jill Valentine to put down Tyrant for good. Very good reading in my opinion. I recomend this book to any fan of the Resident Evil games. I think this book does deserve the 5 star rating...

Summary: Resident Evil: U.C. Based of the Org. best-selling game
Comment: If you thought Resident Evil the game was a big sucsess, you need to read the best book i have read in a long time. This book is extremely detailed in every way with the game. It has all the main char. from the game including Chris, Rebecca, Barry, Jill, Joseph, Brad, and Capt. Albert Wesker in the same friendly enviroment, Racoon City. Pretty much this book is like playing the game without controllers and mind-melding your brain to a TV screen all day. I would read this book again and would porbabaly enjoy it just as much. I am currently Reading the 2nd novel; "Caliban Cove" by the same great author who wrote the first book. If you never heard of Resident Evil; then you got to rent the game or read the book. and if you enjoy the book and game, be sure not to miss the new RE movie coming around Halloween 2001.

Summary: Review
Comment: S. D. Perry's Resident Evil, The Umbrella Conspiracy was a great book. If you liked the game, you'll love the book. It handles the action and plot well and describes each persons perspective of the adventure extremely well. It's written from multiple characters points of view with obvious exaggeration to increase the intensity of the horror. Flashbacks occur during the conflicts with the zombies to show the personalities of the characters that are trying to survive. Foreshadowing was another literary device that Perry uses in this novel to keep the readers interested and full of suspense. A negative about this book is that Perry expects the reader to know the environment, mood, and origin of each character in this novel from playing the game so would make the story difficult to follow if you have never played the game. This story follows the adventure of a special task force referred to as S.T.A.R.S. They have been called in to investigate mysterious happenings in an old abandoned mansion, or at least they think it is abandoned. Can they escape this mansion and survive; you'll have to read this book to find out. If you like scary books, you'll be glad you did.
