Summary: Be ready to laugh, cry and never want the story to end
Comment: Soulmates are two souls who, throught time, remain eternal lovers reincarnated in different bodies. One cannot be happy without the other and both halves must be prepared to wait until they meet again and become one, complete being(whenever and wherever that may be).
Hayden is a modern age writer who, armed with this knowledge, decides to explore her own past lives. She gets hypnotized in hopes on changing one of her past lives so that she and her soulmate may meet in this life. You must read the rest.
I absolutely adored this book. It made me laugh, cry and long for my soulmate. It will do the same for you.
The passage from one life to another was somewhat brutal, but was very cleverly covered up by the engrossing plot.
If you don't believe you have found someone that's right for you, this book will definitely restore your hope in eternal love. Read it!

Summary: Believe in past life?
Comment: When I finished this book, I was almost emotionally drained. Heart-wrenching, but so beautiful. It is one of my favorate Deveraux books. After I read " The Conquest", I never doubt her talent. It is as good as " A Knight in Shining armor". I usually prefer laughable comic romance because I don't want emotional suffering for entertainment. But this book is so wonderful that I was just pulled into it no matter it's a sad kind. ( not sad ending though ) I admire the author's ability to weave such a great plot. Imaginative and absolutely fantastic. It's a kind of time travel story but not typical. In many time travel story, the heroin was dumpted in past as a modern woman. But in this book, she was actually born several times and she lived some different lives through over time. So-called past lives. And soul mate for eternity. What a lovely picture.
I wish I had a soul mate. If not this life, maybe next life. Who knows? I'm a 30 something woman who experienced enough bitterness in real life and still hope some sweetness in life. If you are my kind , you may have some respit to read sweet romance. And Deveraux books are the very ones you need. Just try, you will never regret.

Summary: Another good one.
Comment: I read three of Jude Deveraux novels in a row when I first got interested in reading romance. The first was Knight in Shining Armor and this was the next. This book is not as good as Knight but it is better than some of her others (i.e. Temptation...). I very much enjoyed the ranting at the beginning defending romance novelists and their readers. I also enjoyed the ACTUAL STORY in this book. Many romance novels do not have any substance whatsoever and are painfully predictable. The plot here is intricate and interesting. You actually have to put effort into reading this one and I like that. This isn't a good place to start if you're trying to get some light reading or get into romance but an overall fun little read.
