Summary: My new coffee table book
Comment: This book is informative and entertaining. Once I started looking through it I couldn't put it down. It's a good place to start if you don't know much about serial killers and are interested. I read through this book and their were a few of the killers that I had never heard of but was interested in learning more about so I went out and found books about them. This is a good reference book. I keep it on my coffee table and everyone that comes over picks it up and can't put it down. It's the kind of book you can read a little of and then go back to it later. You don't have to read it in any particular order and you can read for a few minutes or a few hours and you never have to keep you place. I definately recommend this book and any other by Harold Schechter.

Summary: informative, concise, excellent baseline
Comment: This book was extremely fascinating. Mr. Schechter and Mr. Everitt did an excellent job at clearly defining some the world's most notorius serial killers, their crimes and possible motives. A-Z is a riveting book that I recommend to anyone who has an interest in serial killers, it is an especially great resource for anyone who has aquired a newly found interest in serial killers BECAUSE of the repeated references. I have also read Mr. Schechter's other books, "Depraved", "Deranged" and "Deviant", all of which offer a writing style like no other. I find it very difficult to put down any of his "true crime" books. His well informed and well researched material is among the best. Mr. Schechter, in any of the above mentioned books, will take you into the mind of the serial killer as no one can. His writing style allows you to actually visualize the events you are reading about. Anyone with this subject interest would be cheating themselves if they did not read this book, or any of the above mentioned for that matter.

Summary: Fun read you will wanna read over and over...
Comment: If you are at all intrerested in serial killers, this is a good book to start off with. 357 pages of fascinating serial killer research and information including many interesting tidbits and illustrations. Also, included is a special appendix on the mind of spree killer Andrew Cunanan. It is short, but still full of information. This book is simply what the title says it is. For each letter of the alphabet, there is a segment on an act. For example, for the letter "B", there is a writeup on Black Widows, Blasphemy, and Blackbeards. The letter "M" has Movies, Models, and Media. For "S", there is Spree Killers and Statistics. You get the idea. Also, there is a special for each killer's name. Bundy is under "B" and Manson under "M".
I have read this book a bunch of times. I am not big into reading, but this is just so much fun to read. The most chilling thing I have EVER read is in this book, I wont spoil it for you here, just let you know it is under "L" for "letters"...everytime I read it I get goosebumps...
