Comment: However, this book was not nearly long enough, and the feel of the book was far too "abridged" for my taste. I gave this as a gift, which it was perfect for, but if I were buying it for myself, I would have wanted more of a complete works.

Comment: Although I am not into poems too much, I had to read this book as it was a present from my boyfriend. After reading the book I was stunned...Every single poem in the book is fantastic, the book moves me to depths I've never dreamed of...I read it again and again. A perfect gift for "The One".

Comment: Anyone familiar with Rumi's Persian originals will find these translations deeply disappoinitng. Communicates only a fraction of Rumi's burningly intense and often complex pictorial language. Highly edited, lightweight and unnecessary.
