Summary: Teen Students Publish First Book in Knoxville, TN.
Comment: I am very proud of these young people. It started out as a church lesson. Now, several students from our church, Payne Avenue Baptist Church, are published authors. This new book is called the Fruit of The Spirit.

All of the students attend school in the Knoxville School System. The authors are Katherine Bell, Erika Bowman, Lynnette Fain, Mario Green, Andrew Howell,Rona Henry, Catrina Long, George Montgomery, Alex Young, Kayla Siddell, Niki Kirkpatrick, and Dondrea Bostick. The instructors were Jacquelyn Brown, Joyce Felder,Felix Harris, and myself.

After an extensive study of the fruit of the Spirit, the students from 2002 were challenged to develop a book from the teen perspective on this subject. The Fruit of the Spirit discusses the benefits of youth applying the Bible to everyday life. This was a project that took over a year to complete.

Books will be donated to several local libraries in our community.
