Summary: I'll always remember this poet!
Comment: What can I say about Atlota and Rhonda Y. C. Johnson,except that she has wisdom far beyond her years and an "oh so enticing" way with words. I absolutely enjoyed reading this collection of poetry from beginnig to end.

This author holds nothing back with her words. Often writers try to capture the essence of life and history while being politically correct. Not in Atlota!

You get the good times, the bad times, and the surreal thoughts of a very talented woman. I had many, many favorites and was simply intrigued by this writers ability to spin a smooth song with her poetic style. I was caught up in the rature of this author and her ability to speak real life while also teaching me something more than meaningful.

Get this collection, and you'll enjoy the beautifully written preface which basically allows you to peer into Johnson's soul and the heart of her existence. You'll also be left in awe of her talent illustrated in such poems as "Atlota," "Cool Coloured CAt," "Entertain Me," and "Talkin Bout Nothin."

Every poet will love this book because Ms. Johnson captures the souls of all writers as she discusses how words have become poems, prose, etc. and why she writes. Excellent book!
