Summary: Loved it loved it loved it loved it
Comment: This is the best Amanda Quick book that I've ever read. The characters are outstanding! I mean, the Mad Monk of Monkrest? I LOVE that name! I especially found the "oblivious" things hilarious- Mad Monks only marry once, to their one, true, passionate soulmate. They know everything. It was also good to have a heroine who was NOT a virgin- one of Ms. Quick's obsessions. The characters were great- strong-minded Mrs. Poole who could almost be termed mule-headed, but is lovable anyway. Really, if you want to try Amanda Quick, this is the book to read first. it is excellent, witty, romantic, passionate, and over all great.

Summary: It seems a little familiar
Comment: First off, I enjoyed the book. . . but I have a sneaking suspicion that the author was rushed for time.
All of Amanda Quick's (AKA Jayne Anne Krentz/ Jayne Castle) books have a certain flair for humor. That is why she is one of my favorite authors no matter what her pseudonym. However reading "With This Ring" immediately after reading her nom de plume's "Orchid" I began to wonder if Jayne was writing the books in tandem. "With This Ring's" plot seems very similar to "Orchid" (albeit "Orchid" is science fiction) complete with both heroine's being horror novelists and both hero's being men of dark reputations.
Still, similarities to "Orchid" aside, "With This Ring" is a fun read with a nice change of pace of having a hero and heroine over the age of 30. If you are an Amanda Quick fan, you should enjoy the book. If you are an Amanda Quick fan who reads all of her various nom de plumes, you will most probably recognize the plot.

Summary: A GREAT SUMMER READ
Comment: This is the first Amanda Quick book I've ever read and I have to say it will not be my last! The herione and the hero of the story blance well together, its to perfect. This is a great read for anyone who loves a good romance and a good mystery.
