Summary: Mediocre Attempt at a Psychological Thriller
Comment: As my review title suggests, I felt this book to be quite average, and not very impressive considering the potential of the genre. I am a newcomer to the work of Kellerman, so it may be unfair to pronounce him unworthy of the praise he's received. This book had a intriguing premise, but was bogged down with unnecessary plot twists, as well as endless interviews and speculating on the part of Alex Delaware. The overabundance of characters, most of whom are unrealistically connected to the murder in some way, may serve as a headache to some readers. Overall, I feel that Kellerman was both creative and articulate in his writing, but he should have picked up the pace and dispensed of the psychobabble.

Summary: Just one question unanswered
Comment: The Clinic is the first Kellerman book I have read. Just finished it, and am left wondering why Kellerman didn't follow up on the whereabouts of the doctor (Cruvic). Is there no justice for him? Overall, the plot had a steady pace and makes the reader want to know the next link in the chain of evidence/next character's role in the mystery. I look forward to the next Kellerman and would recommend The Clinic as a first-time crime/mystery read.

Comment: This was the first Kellerman book that I read and I found it to be suspenseful and well written. Even though the plot was somewhat far fetched, he did an excellant job of pulling the story and the characters together. I enjoyed reading this book.
