Rating: 4
Summary: Very informative & helpful
Comment: This is a must-have for new moms! The best part is the chart that lists when to introduce each food. It is much more comprehensive than what the pediatrician gave me. I wish I would have read this before my son was 6 months old.

My only complaint about this book is the layout. It would be more user-friendly if the recipes were grouped by age of introduction (6 mo.,10 mo, etc) instead of by food type.

Rating: 5
Summary: Best explanation of baby nutrition!
Comment: Congratulations for thinking about making your own baby food!
We started with sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving and didn't realize what great parents we were being until Christmas, when we bought the stuff in a jar because we were traveling. Yuck. This book is an eye-opener in terms of explaining what foods to start with and in what order. Even if you never make any baby food, it's well worth just reading the first section. I bet you will be inspired like we were, however, and you will be amazed by how simple it is to get started. Our grown-up palates even benefitted--I would have never known how delicious butternut squash is without this book. I ordered a prettier baby cookbook along with this one and ended up returning it because the author's theories were a little too homemade, even though her physician husband was listed on the cover as a medical consultant. You may have noticed that there aren't many copies of Mommy Made available on the Marketplace, and the prices aren't much lower--this book is a definite keeper! Enjoy that baby!

Summary: Wonderful baby cookbook even if you can't cook
Comment: I received this book as a gift and it's the best thing I ever got. This book is great for anyone who wants to make their own baby food. The recipies are super easy and it gives you helpful tips when making them and possible side effects to watch out for. It also very good at telling you when to introduce foods and in what order. I referenced to food introduction chart for months. The best thing about it too is that you can make several servings of a food for the price of 1 jar of commercial baby food. Definitely worth having.
