Summary: Not What I Thought It Would Be
Comment: I bought this book becase of the title, assuming there would be
actual "tactics" to use in helping my Mother's battle with cancer. That's not what it's about. It's more like amazing stories, and having a "go-get'em!" attitude. If you're in the mood for inspiration and pep talks this may be enjoyable reading. In my search for non-fictional sources of information on fighting cancer, this book was not helpful at all. Not to be completely negative it's not a bad book to read, it's just not
what I got the impression it was going to be about.

Comment: This book helped me so much, I have over the months since I read it bought 4 additional copies to give to other friends facing a cancer diagnosis. It's not really a book full of tips, but it is very inspiring, and gave me a boost when I needed it.

Summary: Absolutely indispensable
Comment: We bought this book for my mother right after she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She read it straight through and said it was the most comforting thing she'd encountered since her diagnosis. The real-life stories from cancer survivors are practical, humorous, and encouraging. This book has given my mom so much strength--we can't recommend it highly enough.
