Comment: I found this book to be an excellent Math study with real-world applications. It develops the reader's skills from the simple stuff (that one is to embarrassed to say she needs to study) to reasonably involved applications with problems in economics, finance, and the like. I'm using it to prepare for business school, so I don't get crushed by finance geeks from Wall Street. I heartily recommend it.
