Comment: If a logic book is good, then the logic book will prepare students for the new millenium by inviting them to investigate the topics of set theory, class relations, moral reasoning, cognitive strategies, intellectual integrity, intellectual honesty, the value of truth, empirical dimensions, collaborative learning, arguments from signs, arguments about human behavior, persuasion, division and classification, deceptive arguments, solutions, proof, hypotheses, contingent subject matters and dialectical arguments. Sadly, Epstein's piece forces students to pay attention to "animals and sex," "sex," "libido," "subjugation of the female," "a prostitute," "Attorney Janet Reno," "Elian," and "Castro."
