Summary: Former Friedrichs Student
Comment: As a graduate of The University of Scranton, with a B.S. in CJ, I had the honor of studying under the author of this text.

It is extremely comprehensive in covering white collar crime, an issue that other criminology/criminal justice texts simply fail to explore.

Perhaps readers of Gottfredson and Hirschi's "A General Theory of Crime" might find Friedrichs' exploration of positivist critical criminology particularly useful for explaining an area of crime that has been neglected because of "lack of research". 5 stars for this, looking forward to a new edition, and hopefully another text on WCC.

Summary: By far the best....
Comment: As a college professor, and researcher/student of white collar crime, Friedrichs' Trusted Criminals is by far the best text available on the topic. His extensive coverage of the wide array of actions constituting white collar crime provides readers with a better understanding of this sometimes confusing topic. Also, his easy-to-follow writing style and excellent use of examples facilitate comprehension of the material. It is apparent that a great deal of effort went into writing this book.

I refer to this text as "My Bible," and use it as a starting point for any and all research endeavors involving white collar crime. I eagerly anticipate the second edition (sometime soon?).
