Comment: As the mother of two girls, I am thrilled with Charles R. Smith's second book. I am sure that every basketball-loving girl (teen and preteen) will identify with Jo in the first short story - this is surely every girl's dream! Each story in this delightful collection has a wholesome message and is accompanied by the author's unique and poetic photography. My family loves this book and I encourage all basketball enthusiasts to buy it.

Summary: Great urban stories
Comment: Charles Smith's second book is as exciting as his first. It is more prose based, and has stories geared toward girls as well as young boys, so there is a wider appeal. The photos are interesting and compelling, keeping the attention of young readers who wouldn't ordinarily maintain interest. My ten-year old girl and my nine-year old boy both love this book, and I'm planning on making it a Christmas item for all my friends who have kids in the right age range.
