Summary: Not Exactly "Craftsman" for Baby-Preschool
Comment: The concept of this collection is wonderful. I was excited to receive it, the tools each have a slot in an old-fashioned looking cardboard tool box. The unfortunate part is that the examples of tool use are geared towards a much older audience than preschool. For example, pliers are featured as a picture-hanging tool. They are used to twist the wire that is put on the back of the picture. This concept is too advanced for a baby-preschooler to grasp and they loose interest. A simpler example of plier use (i.e. loosening a bolt) would have been more age appropriate.
Be careful when purchasing this book for babys! The binding is a simple tack-like structure and the pages fan open instead of turning, the baby will bend them and might not understand the fan-like operation. It can be frustrating! The pages quickly become bent and worn.
I would recommend this gift pack for a child that is older, perhaps Kindergarten or first grade. I am going to put ours away for some years.

Summary: This one is for tool lovers
Comment: My 20-month old got this as a present. A great combination since he loves tools and books. The text is not that great, but he really enjoys using the cardboard tools and watching the pictures inside.
