Summary: Good technical look at sub design
Comment: The guy who didn't like this book must not have read anything other than the back cover. I used this book when studying for engineering quals on the USS Albuquerque, and it was of great assistance to me. It does have some flaws, which would mainly be an issue for people with no exposure to naval engineering. That being said, it's readable enough that anyone can learn quite a bit about submarine design. The discussions on hull shape,drag, and propulsion alone are worth the price.

Comment: This book is a waste of money and time. Please don't waste your money. You can buy and learn the hardway, as I did!.

Summary: Excellent book for anyone interested on submarines.
Comment: This book offers excellent information from a military point of view but, it is extremly usefull for any submersible. The language is extremly simple even for non-navy oriented readers. The ilustrations are very clear and the book covers from history of military subs to almost how to plan its construction.
