Summary: A good book, but not for the novice
Comment: I actually bought this book as suggested by a friend, and I found it to be interesting and well written. In my opinion, the author presents a nice overview of the aspects of turbulence theory which are closer to his own experience: in this sense the book is a sort of 'autobiographic picture' of turbulence, not a textbook. However I really appreciated it, probably because I share many of Frisch's opinion, and was really enlightened by some of the historical (and philosophical) considerations. A must for the practitioner.
