Comment: Alfred Rupert Hall and Marie Boas Hall (editors) bring us the unpublished sources of Newtonian scientific career. The book displays the drafts of some parts of Newton's Philosophia Naturalis Principia Mathematica as the "Conclusio"; the first critique on Cartesian mechanistic philosophy in "De gravitatione et aequipondio fluidorum". Very important are also the notes to Hooke's Micrographia. The versions are both in Latin and its respective tranlations (of high quality). The Unpliblished Scientific Papers are an invaluable book about Newton's first thoughts in his time science. Very usefull to any scholar interested in Newton's natural philosophy and the 16th and 17th centuries scientific revolution.
