Summary: An introductory book on AI
Comment: The title is somewhat misleading. The correct title can be introduction to AI. There is only one case study discussion on PARRY ( simulation model of paranoia developed by Kenneth Mark Colby). The book gives a very good introduction to all aspects of AI for a non-computer scientist. In the context of expert systems it gives details of actual transcations. The book is weak in the context of logic and automated theorem proving context, which is expected. It is quite likely that the author wanted to write a sequal to the book with emphasis on psychiatry. The readers are encouraged to read the book entitled ` Unconscious as infinite sets', for an interesting interplay between logic and psychoanalysis.
