Summary: Assignation in a garden
Comment: My favorite artwork in this book is an oil painting by John Singer Sargent showing a man and a woman walking off into the twilight in the Luxembourg Gardens. The painting is loose and impressionistic, but the moment is so intentse you can taste it. You wish you were there. This book captures the intensity and magic of gardens.
