Summary: Poor showing from a good writer
Comment: I normally like war time novels. I have read every one of W.E.B. Griffin's books, some several times. The Men at War series was originally written under his pen name Alec Baldwin, and came before all of his other series. This sequel to those two books is a poor follow-up to the first two. I felt the author was just going through the motions to make another buck after the re-release of the first two books in this series ( under his real name this time). Mr. Griffin, don't take this personally, but you can do a lot better.

Summary: i look forward to any griffin books.
Comment: not necessarily reviewing this latest book, but in general would like to say, I had not read any books in over 20 years until my father asked me if I would like o read the corps series. After starting with book one I found I could not put down the books. I read the complete series in 1 week. I have since read the Men In Blue series as well as all other books written by W.E.B Griffin. I have since re-read the books and look forward to any and all new books.

Summary: WW II in the Phillipines
Comment: This book is imaginative, and tells an exciting story of the battle for the Phippipines, and the men fighting there. I personally like it very much, more apparently than other people did.
