Summary: fun read, but the heroine needed work
Comment: I love reading good fantasy romance, where the fantasy feels like an intergal part of the story. This was definitely the case with this book. Zoe, a practical single mother, agrees to help her best friend and her daughter to summon a djinni. Despite Zoe's skepticism, the spell works, and Simon the djinni is bound to grant her three wishes. Simon and Zoe are attracted to one another, but there's a lack of trust on either side: Simon has seen so much ugliness in humanity that he has trouble trusting Zoe, and Zoe has trouble trusting wishes because of the actions of her ex-husband. I actually ended up feeling more for Simon than for Zoe. In spite of all the reasons he had for not opening up, he actually turned out to be more willing to trust than Zoe. Zoe's stubborness was often really annoying - she didn't want to open up to her friends/business partners, and she didn't want to open up to Simon. She was probably the most exhausting character in the book. However, in my opinion, Simon made up for all of that, and I ended up really enjoying this book. I usually end up reselling romance that I buy, but I think this one's a keeper.

Summary: Very Good Read
Comment: I had read Kathleen Nance's 2nd book, and enjoyed it so much I ordered this one. I enjoyed both and hope she keeps up the good writing. Wishes Come True was fun to read and a page turner.

Summary: Cute
Comment: Ok I want a djinni. I mean who wouldn't. Well the heroine of this book didn't. Her daughter and her wacky neighbor conjured him up and now she has to deal with him. Now if he looked like the cover mode I could think of several ways to "deal" with him but its not my story so I won't go into those.

I liked Simon. He was a marvel. He took his djinni duties seriously but longed for the freedom that had been denied him. I didn't care much for Zoe, the heroine, though. She seemed too interested in her business than in her daughter and of course in Simon. I mean it was good that she wanted her business to succeed but at what cost. I just felt that her character could have lightened up a bit. She did come to her senses a bit toward the end.

I did enjoy the secondary characters. They added to the total mayhem and brought lots of humor to the book. I would love to read a book about Darius.

I would recommend this book for a lite afternoon read.
