Summary: very very brief
Comment: I was looking for a dictionary for a desktop reference - this book has lots of terms, however, I thought that since it was the most expensive book, and boasted 18,000 references I wondered how I could go wrong. However, I am sure there are probably 18,000 references but not the ones I need for WAN or data networking. It is weak in OSI, The definitions that I do happen to find are much too brief to help me understand any more than what the acronym stands for, which in many cases I allready know. The book does have some useful wiring diagrams/pin-outs that are hard to find, but rarely used, and other wierd stuff. I could have bought 2 other books for what this one cost. So I am shopping again.

Comment: I was looking for simple, easy-to-understand definitions of words in the communication industry. This book had all the answers I needed, easy to locate in alphabetical order and has saved me hours of time completing my project. These terms cannot be found in a regular dictionary. This is a must for anyone in the communications industry.
