Summary: Good Project Management Reference
Comment: This book is a good general reference for engineering and process equipment project management. In fact, you could probably re-title it as "... Project Manager's Desk Reference". Much of the book refers to methods and procedures used at ICF Kaiser. It covers in detail design engineering controls / monitoring, material and equipment procurement, contract procedures, cost control and estimating. A section is also devoted to the matters associated with international projects. It is a very good reference for those involved in management of large projects (engineering, construction, design-build).

Summary: Should be on the desk of every technical manager!
Comment: I picked this up while browsing one afternoon and began to read. I couldn't put it down! Despite the price, I recommend it for any technical manager. It tends to be very overview-ish, but any book that deals with such a broad range of subjects as those that fall into the purview of a project engineer, will have to be this way. I particularly like the way that key words are in bold throughout the text so you can easily refer to it and zero in on the things you are looking for.
