Rating: 5
Summary: Excellent Aspects to Simulation
Comment: This book presents an excellent guide to the basic aspects of Simulation Techniques. Wheras the book by Shanmugam et.al. "Sim. of Comm Systems", does address some aspects, the book by Gardner & Baker gives a different perspective. It gives a nice overview of 'sampled data systems', with good backgrounds for topics such as interpolation and synchronization. Overall it is an invaluable book to have to master the art of simulating signal processing systems.

Rating: 4
Summary: Excellent Tutorial and Reference
Comment: A thorough understanding the underlying modelling techniques is essential for succesful application of computer simulation to problems in digital transmission.

One of only a handful of books on this topic, "Simulation Techniques" provides a detailed presentation of the subject. The book is useful both as an introduction to simulation, and as a reference.

I have worked with this kind of simulation for over two decades, and I can thoroughly recommend it.
