Summary: An Excellent representation of fuzzy logic through PR
Comment: Prof. Dwijesh Dutta Majumder and Prof. Sankar K. Pal, have done an amazing job in bringing out the root relations between the abstract aspects of fuzzy logic and pattern recognition. Their representation of the topic seems to make the intricate bonds between these varied topics seem more realistic than we are led to believe. This book is an excellent source of knowledge for someone starting out in pattern recognition and I recommend it without reservation to PR students. A good understanding of fuzzy maths, however, might be necessary to grasp the essential concepts of PR-deduction algorithms and set applications. A very commendable achievement!
